I have been playing in several tourneys lately and midway through each one I end up in a hand that gobbles over a third or better of my stack. Short of folding the hand pre flop ( which would be ridiculous) I have basically had the best hand post and pre flop and have ended up with that proverbial got rivered card turned on me. Now every poker player gets a bad beat like this, but I have just gone through a streak of about a dozen that left me crippled enough make unwanted aggressive moves late in the games to avoid the short stack syndrome of going all in with less than premium hands. Of course that ultimately put me at a severe disadvantage at the wrong times toward the end of the tourneys. I anticipate that this trend will take a turn for the better since it goes against the odds for people catching those two outers against me so frequently (but I could be wrong)...
