Playing Poker Online
Everyone that plays poker has played online. I thought i would review the Club WPT site since it is heavily advertised on televised tourneys.
My first impressions, I have to say are not very good. I think it is because I am used to better structure, format, graphics, speed etc.. from the sires that spent a lot of time and money to bring in the cash customers.
The graphics are near the bottom of all the sites I have been to in the last 5 years. The next issue I have problem with is the timer they use when it is your turn to act. It is basically a non-exist item. It buzzes and folds almost instantly. I have folded pocket aces toggling between two tourneys because of how the timer works. There is no pre-buzzer warning. Just a fold then sit out action. This is also a problem if you are first to act next hand as it automatically folds the next hand before you can bring your hand back to life. Another area where I have folded a few best starting hands. I never had any problems with any other site I have ever played, so this is a major flaw in the programming. The only plus side at this point is that there is no software to download to your PC, which I like. There are other flaws like the amount of time you spend for a chance to win a mere $20 and some points... I bought into a year membership and I hope that after a couple days I don't regret my commitment. I am hoping that they upgrade the site and get better real soon at this point or figure out how to get into the big game for a chance at a real seat... But for now it is a thumbs down for sure.
